Job Description :
This staff position is a member of a design and development team that envisions and provides product design applications. Assignments are oriented toward constructing moderately complex product designs and design layouts (done manually or by computer graphics system) using acquired design and development knowledge and skills. Gains experience in formulating designs by applying design calculations, analysis, and computer simulations. Investigates and resolves product design problems. Assists in evaluating engineering design deviations and change requests submitted by other departments.
Works with engineers, technicians, and suppliers regarding product design/test/production schedule dates. Provides other departments technical guidance as needed.
Travels to production plants, dealerships, and customer job sites to assist in solving design problems and goes to field test locations to assist with the development of engineering projects. Assists in developing unique design features that the Company often patents to gain a competitive advantage.
