Bharat Electronics Limited was founded in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India in 1954.
Starting with the manufacture of a few communication equipment in 1956, BEL started producing receiving valves in 1961, germanium semiconductors in 1962 and radio transmitters for AIR in 1964 with help of Soviet Union
In 1966, BEL set up a radar manufacturing facility for the army and in-house R&D. In 1967, BEL began manufacturing transmitting tubes, silicon devices and integrated circuits. The PCB manufacturing facility was established in 1968.

BEL, Bengaluru complex is engaging Diploma students to undergo Apprenticeship Training for a period of ONE YEAR under National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) through Board of Apprenticeship Training (BoAT), Southern Region

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Candidate’s domicile must be from Karnataka state only.
- Candidates should possess a Diploma certificate from a recognized
Board/University on or after 01-01-2020. - Candidate’s upper age limit is 25 years. Relaxation of 5 years for SC & ST
candidates. Relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Persons
with disabilities. - Minimum Percentage in Diploma for General & OBC candidates should be 50%
& above. For SC/ST candidates minimum Percentage in Diploma should be 40%
& above. - Candidates who have undergone or undergoing Apprenticeship Training under
NATS or NAPS in any other establishment/organization are not eligible.
SELECTION PROCESS:
- Selection is purely on the basis of merit of the marks secured in the written test
(80% weightage) which will be conducted by BEL, Diploma score (20%
weightage). - Candidates having CGPA score or Grade system should convert them into
percentage as per their respective university norms. Conversion details
prescribed from the university/college should be furnished. - Statutory Reservation will be as per Government norms.
- Selected candidates will be informed through E-Mail followed by publishing of
list of selected candidates in BEL Website.
INFORMATION TO CANDIDATES: - Monthly stipend is 10,400/- (Rupees Ten Thousand & Four Hundred only).
- Canteen facility will be provided on chargeable basis.
- Transport facility will be provided on chargeable basis.
- Hostel Accommodation (on shared basis) will be provided on chargeable basis.
- No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for selection process.
- Candidates must produce ORIGINAL Diploma Certificates/ Marks Cards issued
by competent authority at the time of verification. - Suppression of facts & furnishing false information will lead to
disqualification/Rejection of candidature. - Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.

BEL, Bangalore conducting “Walk in Selection” for ITI candidates for one year Apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act 1961 as detailed below:
Eligibility criteria to appear for selection:
- Only Karnataka Candidates are eligible
- ITI – TRADES: Electronic Mechanic, Fitter, Electrician, DMM, PASAA/COPA, Turner, Welder, Machinist, Electroplater
- ITI passed on or after 01-01-2020
- Age limit: Maximum Age limit 21 years as on 01.01.2023 (Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC & 10 years for PWD candidates). Age limit is not applicable for year of passing
The duration of the Apprenticeship Training is ONE YEAR only
Stipend is as per the Government norms (present rate of stipend is ₹10333/- per month for EM, FITTER, Electrician, DMM, Turner, Machinist, EP and ₹9185/- for COPA/PASAA and Welder)
