Job Description for Design & development
Education & Training:
B.E (Mechanical/Production/Automotive)
Relevant Experience Required:
– About 0 to 4 years of experience in Automotive Interior Plastics Trim Design. Must have had worked with Global Companies (German OEMs/Tier 1s preferred)
Skill Requirements:
1. Expertise in Automotive Interior Plastic Trim Design
2. Expertise in Drawing and Detailing of the components
3. Expertise in Integration of components, GD&T & Tolerance Stack-up
4. Knowledge of Component materials selection
5. Expertise in Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
6. Know-how about the tooling process (Plastic & Sheet Metal)
7. Know-how about FEA (Finite Element Analysis), Design validation through analysis
8. Know how about pigtail Harness design and mountings strategy will be added advantage
9. Expertize in Unigraphics NX (CAD Tool)
10. Know-How of PDM Activities
11. Experience in Daimler Norms and DBL standards, DIALOG and SMARAGD (Optional)
12. German Language will be an added advantage.
13. Must be a proactive, Team Player & also shoulder individual responsibility
14. Microsoft office skills with good Excel knowledge, power point presentation
Job Responsibilities:
0. Design & Development of Automotive plastics and sheet metal components such as brackets, ECU/Antenna/ Housings concepts with new Ideas
1. Package Volume creation, packaging feasibility check to define positions in the car
2. Component proximity studies as per the vehicle environment, specific requirements
3. CAD Construction of Module/Housings, Brackets with different Mounting/Fixations concepts with Tooling Ready Data
4. Proto type development support to verify the component Design
5. Create drawings, assign tolerances and perform Tolerance stack-up
6. Co-ordination with all project stakeholders with excellent communication skills
7. To manage risks and issues impacting project deliverables
8. Seamless integration with the Team in India & Germany
9. Independently handle topics without any assistance and taking ownership
10. Good documentation with excellent project tracking ability

Battery Mechanical Development
Position: Product Engineer -T9
Education: BE or Master in Mechanical Engg/Automotive/Electrical Engg or equivalent
Relevant Experience Required à Two to four years maximum
– Experience in mechanical development of Battery mechanical components (Preferrable) or Powertrain components.
– Experience of creating DVP, exposure to FMEA.
– Should have good knowledge of all components of EV Battery pack
– Experience in conducting special validation tests
– Experience of problem solving and root cause analysis
– Product development experience in Field Problems.
– Good presentation and documentation skills, Good verbal and written communication skills
– Should be a self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision. Should have the experience of working in a team
– Experience in Component Testing of Battery/Powertrain components
– Interaction with multiple stakeholders and suppliers
Preferred but not essential:
– German conversational skills is a strong advantage
– Knowledge of Daimler tools
– International Experience
Job Responsibilities
– Creation of DVPs with interactions woth all key stakeholders. Plan, coordinate & specify tests at bench level, aggregate level or vehicle level required for validation of Battery Components.
– Coordinate with different Stakeholders for the resolving component issues.
– Understanding, analysis of problems/failures with a methodical approach and proposing a solution in the least possible time frame.
– Perform Root cause analysis through discussion with different stake holders.
– Take decisions based on Test Results and implement the Solution.
– Handling field complaints, deviation management and change management coordination with Designers.
– Participation in all stakeholder meetings & ownership of technical decisions
– Co-ordination with cross functional teams & suppliers for achieving on-time delivery
– I ndependently work on the project & ensure project delivery is on time meeting with all the quality requirements.
– Proper documentation of technical data consistent with internal procedures
– Regular travels to Germany (2-6 months) for onsite activities.
