Job Description :
Design new systems, equipment and processes for the introduction of new products or the improvement of existing ones.
Design Product design and systems for Mineral Processing plants and General Engineering projects.
Produce standard designs using CAD software and create assembly prints, mechanical drawings and fabrication specifications and consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible.
Performs analytical work in order to characterize and properly specify new and existing designs, including heat transfer, stress, vibrations, fluid/gas dynamics and manufacturability.
Research and evaluate data for customer design proposal, parameters and manuals to identify design and application feasibility.
Convert ideas/concepts into workable models/proof of concepts and prepare detail designs, drawings and Bill of materials.
Perform calculations, qualify, analyze and test units
Prepare all required deliverables requested by product development plan (e.g. FMEA, technical specifications, risk analysis, test specifications, design review presentations)
Proficiency in material selection & design optimization through engineering calculation (force, stress, heat, flow, or combinations of these) approach, and to address risks or issues related to Reliability, Cost, Manufacturing, Performance
Direct and coordinate installation of fabrication activities to ensure systems and products comply with Electro-mechanical engineering design along with customer specifications.
Prepare guidelines and procedures to develop company products as per specifications and schedules using safest and cost-effective processes.
Interact with customers, vendors and other outside representatives on specific matters related with product design. Communicate day to-day work with technical leads, project in charge & team members.
Interact with the US counterpart and abroad engineers to define and develop design concepts to attain client requirements. Facilitate the new and current manufacturing process to reduce manufacturing costs, final BOM cost, and part count,
Provide immediate response and timely resolution to design related production issues encountered during the build process
Collaborates with other departments such as electrical, controls, product management, procurement, and manufacturing to successfully execute and deliver the design solutions
Technical skill and knowledge of mechanical engineering
Candidates must have sound experience of Sheet metal parts design, product validation & getting manufactured.
Project management experience including developing project plans and time lines, tracking project progress, expediting external action items.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD systems. Knowledge in FEA is advantage.
Excellent communications skills – must interface successfully with other engineers, non-technical personnel and with customers to define and later deploy products.
