Design Engineer – FEA Calculation
| Job Summary/Objective |
| Analysis of steel structures, by manual calculation and verification by Finite element Analysis. Development of 3D models, Drafting, preparation of BOM and release to internal customers. |
| Key Roles & Responsibilities |
| Translating real world engineering problems into FEA models.Creating finite element models from CAD data using FE-pre and post processing & meshing.Preparing Boundary conditions and load cases for FEA analysis.Running finite element modeling in various environment for checking its feasibility using FEMAP / NASTRAN NX.Interpreting the analysis results and converting them to design suggestions.Writing reports for summarizing the analysis results and reviewing all project-related analysis results. |
| Degree(s) &Certificate(s) | Under Graduation / Post Graduation in the relevant function. |
| Experience | 5 – 8 years. |
| Knowledge | Engineering design calculation.Fundamentals of Finite Element AnalysisExpertise in FEMap software.Expertise in Static, Dynamic, modal and weld AnalysisLinear and non-Linear analysisWeld design.High strength steel properties and Design PrinciplesDesign and Selection of machine elements3D modelling, New Structural Concept preparation, Drafting, preparation of BOM. |
| Major Skills | Strong Technical knowledge and visualization.Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with internal & external customers and senior management.Study field failures, suggest to resolve the issues.Exposure of working for Mechanical Engineering Design Center will be an additional advantage. |
| Others | Exposure to Solid Edge Software & PLM software. |
