Designation: Applications Engineer

Role Summary:
- Prepare techno Commercial offers for mechanical seals and custom auxiliary systems and pricing in response to request for quotations (RFQ’s) in the required time frame
- Proficiency in Primary project specifications review & preparing summary / extract, knowledge on reading specifications related to seals, pumps, instrumentation and also having knowledge on P&ID and creating ISA datasheet.
- Coordinate with various internal resources to acquire all the technical and commercial information needed for the proposal.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Knowledge on project management and capability to lead multiple projects at the same time and well versed in documenting / tracking project communication and revision management.
- Monitor the quotation progress throughout the entire bid cycle and maintain master spread sheets to manage project effectively
- Participate in technical/commercial clarification meeting with customer by coordinating with relevant resources; providing response to customer technical queries (TQs)
- Knowledge on reviewing bid documents, Incoterms and experience in handling customer’s terms and conditions.
- Understand and able to work with internal tools, sizing software, administrative tools and CRM.
- Able to perform engineering calculations related to seals and systems products
- Review the order to ensure compliance with Flowserve’s original proposal and all agreed upon changes, and make the clean & accurate order transfer files to Operations.
- Knowledge on API 682, API 610 is preferred, Additionally, basic knowledge on design of seal / systems and other global standards will be an added advantage.
- Maintain good relations within internal and external customers
- Conduct trainings to AEs.
- Carry out any other duties as directed by the Reporting manager

Design Engineer

Role Summary:
Position Description:
- Develop and prepare GA drawings, Cross section drawing, P&ID’s, layouts.
- Order-specific adaptation of pump designs, components and systems, based on existing standard systems
- Provide primary customer interface/support to other internal functions, providing technical guidance to clarify project requirement.
- Review, understand customer specifications
- Develop complete Bill of material for Orders.
- Provide technical support to supply chain including review vendor and buy out drawings.
- Prepare Quality plan as per specification
- Verify and implement drawing and BOM revisions due to engineering, customer and manufacturing changes.
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data.
- Drive and take ownership of engineering activities
- Perform and evaluate necessary calculations for component design
- Meet project timelines for Engineering documentation and gather approval
Preferred Experience / Skills:

- Use of Solid works 2017 with pipe routing/systems experience
- Experience with rotating equipment and pumping systems are considered

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 3-4 years of design and drafting experience in Pump or related industry.
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings/documents/reports.

- Must be conversant with GD&T and drafting standard ANSI Y 14.5.

The On Site Application Engineer role supports Lifecycle Advantage (LCA) contracts within assigned site(s) in accordance with the defined LCA Program metrics and deliverables. - Lead LCA programs to the highest standards of safety in accordance with Flowserve policies. Actively support a positive Safety, Health and Environmental Affairs (SHEA) culture to reduce lost time injuries and recordable accident frequency rates and to maintain a safe hazard-free work environment.
- Complete assigned safety training on a monthly basis and to report safety and near-miss observations.
- Complete adherence to the Company and Customer site(s) safety rules and to complete JSEA (Job Safety & Environment Analysis) tasks if needed.
