Location: Chennai

Basic Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from one of the top-ranking universities/colleges in India.
•10 Plus years’ experience in mechanical engineering, of which min. 5 Plus years in design, and fabrication of process equipment like piping, valves, skid systems, heat transfer equipment, pressure vessels, blowers, burners, etc.
•Experience in 3d product Modelling, Inventor and Vault preferred.
•Familiarity with mechanical Piping components, and sizing.
•Willingness to travel within India and abroad for customer, vendor, and internal meetings.Experience with SAP – sales order entry, bill of material / part number, financials, etc.
•Familiarity with piping codes – ASME B31.1 and B31.3, NFPA 86 and 54
•Familiarity with various global mechanical and electrical codes and standards like NFPA, NACE, UL, FM, etc.
•Experience with natural gas handling; sensors, fittings, regulators.
•Project Engineering and Project management experience is plus
•Experience with combustion equipment and systems.
•Experience with welding practices.  
•Knowledge of P&ID and controls systems.

Location : Hyderabad

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent;
5-6 years experience in Mechanical product development.

Required Skills:

Honeywell SME-HPS is seeking Mechanical Engineer at Technology Specialist level to support our work developing Electricity meters, gas meters and water meter enclosures. Your responsibilities are

You will be architecting mechanical enclosure design for Meter enclosures castings and Plastics, Moving parts.
You will be required to conduct the structural analysis for the castings and design tweaking based on the flow analysis
You coordinate and define the different activities within your team, according to the priorities and competences of each one in the team
You ensure the correct implementation and execution of the existing processes and work flows in these areas. You identify and cooperate in the elaboration of improvement opportunities of these processes.
You co-operate with internal departments such as program and application management, quality and purchasing and answer all technical queries pertaining to your products
You will be responsible for a good communication flow within and between the different teams.
