Technical Information Engineer within the Service & Parts assortment Engineering (Technical Development),UDT AMT , Bangalore.
The Technical Information Specialist is responsible for creating design & function documents, Owner’s manual, accessories installations and body builder instructions. The Technical Information is mainly created by compiling information based upon the PDM structure and with help of virtual tools, project descriptions.
Main Role and Responsibilities:
Create and plan for high quality parts information with optimized effort and high efficiency for all UD products.
Understand the importance of Information management in Automotive Aftermarket Business and deliver the Technical Information in accordance to that which help dealers and technicians to effectively support UD customers.
Understand the various sources of input and stakeholders , ability to pull the required input information and deliver the design & function documents, Owner’s manual, accessories installations and body builder instructions as output on time as per project gate/milestone requirement criteria’s.
Create ,Maintain Policy for Technical Information.
Work on main tools like Virtual tools, PDM systems, Service & Parts assortment engineering production system.
Work with new technology development such as Virtual and mixed reality usage, 3D printing and AR.
Coordinate with global sites and different Brands in the group on improvements in existing processes with customers in focus and from a cross-functional perspective.
Follow lean principles and continuously identify and eliminate wastes to enhance value for customers.
Co-ordinate in bringing synergies in process and quality of spare parts information between different brands and Sites within the group.

Qualifications
– University degree in logistics or mathematics or statistics, or experience equivalent to the same knowledge level

Responsibilities:
– Monitor KPI/PI(s) and take actions when deviating from target
– Weekly work with the delivery schedules towards the supplier
– Daily follow up on overdue orders and seek communication and confirmation with suppliers about urgent order requests.
– Coordination on delivery and ETA on outstanding supplier delivery schedules and daily customer back orders.
– Daily follow up if there is delivery delay from suppliers.
– Actively participate in continuous improvements activities to improve ETA, delivery lead time, MOQ, optimization of inventory that can impact the achievement of a balanced performance in availability, inventory and logistical cost.
– Maintenance of parts and supplier information in various systems, ensuring the data is accurately updated as required in accordance to part to file process.
– Create the requisitions for new parts or change of supplier to be sent to purchasing.
– Follow and support the SRM process for problem suppliers
– Maintenance of supersessions in MP system for all products ensuring the data is investigated and confirmed from any related systems and /or reports used to extract particulars.
– Processing of dealer/customer buy back when requested.
– Support order to suppliers on parts initial stock preparation, quality related and seasonal demand parts preparation.

Preparation of specifications, MOC, BOQs, MTO, zero based cost estimate for the total projects/plant jobs. Maintaining and updating departmental ISO/IMS documents. Preparation of P&ID, GA drawings, 3D/isometric drawings, equipment GA and project layouts. Finalization of Tanks, drawing approval, co-ordination with consultant, technical normalization, TER, and LCC.
