Job Description:- Mechanical Design Engineer
Qualification: BE/ B.Tech (Mechanical Engg.)
Experience preference:
From the field of product design & development preferably from Pumps and Turbine domain whose role predominantly was in mechanical engineering design, validations and implementations.
5-7 years- Engineer /Sr. Engineers
Job Role expectations:
• Responsible for the design and development of mechanical subsystems and assemblies of vertical turbine pumps.
• Responsible to provide innovative solutions/ideas to introduce technical differentiators and value propositions
• Requires work experience in VA/VE Rationalisaation , DFMEA & Risk assessment
• Requires work experience in casting component design and manufacturing methodoogies
• Generate related production drawings and BOM list for product release.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams for design validation and other required activities.
• Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate to complex difficultly under general supervision.
• Maintain effective communications both verbal and written with customer, team members and cross functional departments.
Skills Needed:
• Requires working experience on CAD tools like Inventor/solid works  to perform Job function.
• Requires working knowledge of GD&T applications based on requirements.
• Requires proficiency in selection of materials and OEM components for functional requirement and adopt engineering principles and  technologies during equipment/ machine constructions
• Requires experience of engineering change managements, analyze and trouble shoot to problems occurred.

• Should possess technical knowledge of Industrial machinery and their systems. (Equipment /Machine Design)
• Knowledge in reading engineering drawings: 2D and 3D
• Able to understand the assemblies and create breakdownsÂ
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Autocad is a must
• Management of Engineering Change Notices (ECN) / DCN
• Bill Of Material comparison/Spare parts catalog
• Make a decision about assembly methodlogy and best practices
• Should have good command in English, written and spoken
• Hands-on experience in MS excel, formulae, macros, etc., MS office
