Job responsibilities
- Develop concepts that form the basis for development of a new or modified product/processes/solutions.
- Participates, in collaboration with project members, in brainstorming sessions aimed at finding innovative solutions for future products/processes/solutions.
- Will work on standardization, product improvement, and development efforts of product line.
- May assist in development of design standards/guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures.
- Responsible to coordinate and manage deliverables from other engineering disciplines (Global product specialists/chiefs, electrical, process, technical writing, etc.)
- Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures.
- Reviews and approves design drawings.
- May work on research and development projects.
- Travels to job sites and regional offices as required in support of equipment problems, installations, and sales efforts.
- Assists operations with manufacturing problems and implementation of low-cost sourcing initiatives.
- Participates actively in team environment and contributes to successful completion of team goals.
What you bring
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical with good knowledge in the product design & development of the cement grinding products.
- Having 8 to 12 years of experience in the field of product design & development, cement grinding equipment mainly VRM, HRP & Ball mills. Hands on experience in modelling and detailing.
- Having good knowledge in the cement plant circuit & operation, sizing/selection of the mill, etc.
- Knowledge on machine elements like gears, shafts, bearings, chain drives, etc. and it’s design calculations and selections.
- Knowledge on standard steel fabrication and other manufacturing processes.
- Proficient with engineering design tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and GD & T.
- Knowledge on Enovia is an added advantage.
- Should have good communication & documentation skills.
- Should be a good team player.
- Should be willing to travel to sites, manufacturing workshops and regional offices as required.
