Manager – CMF Design Quality
JOB DESCRIPTIONCMF Design Quality Roles & Responsibility –
• Responsible for Appearance approval for interiors & exterior for all platforms. Quality and design perspective and to drive for continual improvement.
• To plan/ prepare CMF design activity for timely delivery of a certain quality.
• Coordinate with the supplier technical assistants for Appearance Approval activity.
• Drive supplier to comply with OLA CMF requirements across all platforms.
• Responsible for Innovation, Advanced Technology & Benchmarking activity.
• Responsible for CMF masters for Paint, Fabric & Textures.
• Interact constantly with cross-functional peers in implementing CMF design directions that are in-line with program targets and allowable costs.
• Work simultaneously with purchasing, marketing and the supplier base on materials sourcing to achieve the highest production quality.
Design Manager
People Management:
- Manage the creative leads, studio engineers and modeller to design/develop a range of concept design & production models as well as updating existing product designs
- Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within area of accountability
- Motivate and coach the team to operational success
- Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
- Lead the team in new product development projects
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
- Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with all health safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors

Customer Quality Assurance – Warranty Analysis
This position belongs to Quality Assurance function at OLA Electric Mobility Private Limited. You will be responsible to handle field failure parts under warranty and ensure effective analysis & countermeasure implementation in close working with cross functional teams from Engg., Manf., SCM, Design, QA. The ideal candidate should have a proven record of significant achievements in handling field failures, and willingness to work in fast paced dynamic environment. |
Key Result Areas (Accountability & Responsibility of the role) | Receive the Warranty complaints / parts (3MIS, 6MIS, 12MIS and 24MIS)Closely co-ordinate with Service team to receive the defective samples from field for analysis Simulation of failure modes / Complaint received in field.Conduct analysis on failed parts received under warranty.Coordination with Production, Engineering, Supplier Quality departments for product quality issues (Customer complaints) – Drive Quality issues to Root cause.Corrective actions and improvements tracking with different functions.Carry out the Root cause analysis for IQS issues and implement the product improvement actions as per the project timeline Testing of electrical and mechanical parts of the Electric Vehicle Warranty parts flow management inside warranty cell (Receipt to Scrap)Ensure 100% compliance to IATF 16949 QMS System on daily management activitiesMaintain 5S in the warranty cell. |
Key Skills Required | Hands on experience in 2-Wheeler vehicle assembly/disassembly /Rework etc.Hands on experience with problem solving tools (e.g. QC Story, 8D, Cause & Effect analysis, FMEA etc)Conversant with EV part functions and testing.Experience in Electrical and mechanical part inspection |
