Educational Qualifications:
BE or ME or MTech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering/ Automobile Engineering
3 – 5 yrs (Engr/Sr.Engr)
Review of design documents related to Cooling system, Air intake system , Engine packaing , mounts , Powertrain integration, HVAC, Brake system etc.
Document observations from the review commetee
Prepare check list for systems
collect learnings and prepare design guidelines
work with Systsme engineers and Design review teams, manufacturing teams, project teams
Plan and document TKO process for each part and system, note deviations , suggest modifications , collect data
Knwoledge about cooling system , Air intake and exhaust system
Knowledge of Engine room packaging , Powertrain integration
Knowledge of CATIA
Knowledge of GD&T
Basic knowledge of FEA /CFD
Knwoledge about cooling system , Air intake and exhaust system
Knowledge of Engine room packaging , Powertrain integration , should be able to understand and moderate DFMEA. shoud be aware of tools like DFMEA , PFMEA etc.
Knowledge of CATIA and TC – should be able to open 3D models , annotations , check sections , check workflows
Knowledge of GD&T – should be able to understand and read drawing , should be able to corelate dimensions , tolerances and functional behaviour of system. should be able to interpreate stack
Basic knowledge of FEA /CFD , should have competency to interpreat the results and understand fundamentals of analysis

NPD Engineer
Benchmarking and formulation of Quality Targets for New Products, timely Product evaluations to assess gaps and driving corrective actions.
Product and Process Failure mode avoidance in project such as 7QC-tools, FMEA, DVP, DFA/ DFM, Risk analysis and Product quality design reviews throughout the product development phase. Generating Quality indicator dashboard for Senior Management reviews highlighting key quality risks and proposed contingency plans.
Working closely with various stakeholders to capture customer latent needs and ensuring deployment during the product development. Driving Teams towards implementation of various Product and Process improvements identified during build phases.
Building Quality competencies within the CFT/CDT by facilitating and delivering quality training programmes like PPAP, APQP, DFMEA, DVP and application skills in Reliability Engineering etc.
Good understanding of New Product Development process
Exposure in domain of Electric Powertrain
Knowledge of basic and advanced problem solving tools.
In depth Knowledge of QFD, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA & SPC
Good understanding of stated & unstated customer needs.
Knowledge of Vehicle and Vehicle Systems
Thorough knowledge of Quality Systems -, ISO/TS 16949/ IATF standards
Auditing skills – Process, Product and System”
