Career Opportunities: Senior Manager – Technical (39425)
KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Industrialization – Operational Activities
Understand the product specifications in detail and work out the scalability of the products
Liaise with cross-functional teams/ other departments to ensure the timely execution of the plan within the allocated budget
Coordinate with Production to ensure the availability of production facility as required for pilot runs and the required manpower resources
Determine the production technology, and industrial tools to be used, and get the design and build custom manufacturing fixtures and equipment if required
Conduct prototype and pre-production runs with post-build analysis for yield improvement
Conduct design validation and regulatory testing on the pilot production tyres
Conduct tests to ensure that the pilot product meets the required performance specifications
In case modifications/ changes are required, coordinate the re-work with different teams within R&D
Ensure that homologation of tyres to ensure conformance to technical, environmental and regulatory standards
Supervise bulk production runs for the pre-production tyres before their release to production
Conduct additional validation tests on production tyres
Update and adhere to all PLM activities regularly to keep track of progress/ timelines
Production Support and Trouble Shooting
Assistance in the arrangement of necessary and required samples for the R&D department
Accepting specifications of materials and making arrangements for requisition of required materials
Ensuring proper coordination with the stores department and conducting follow-ups regarding new materials, or materials ordered
Managing in a timely manner processing issues during trials and actual production and ensuring that the same shall be efficiently handled and resolved
Engaging in troubleshooting activities from time to time, to ensure production time conservation
Technical Process Analysis
Run various tests and analyses on pre-production tyres and prepare detailed reports for the team
Conduct a detailed analysis of defective materials or products
Ensure analysis of minute aspects pertaining to scrap materials
Analysis of compound scrap and determining factors behind the same
Documentation
Maintain proper records for changes in the specifications of processes
Ensuring proper execution of technological trials and preparation of compliance reports
Preparation of requisite monthly reports on Improvement activities (eg. Kaizen, 5S, etc.), Unsafe Conditions, etc.
Education and Experience Required
Education:
Bachelors of Technology (Rubber Tech) or
Diploma in Polymer Science and Rubber Technology Experience:
12 years of experience is required

| RESPONSIBILITIES: |
| Developing/improving Computer Aided Engineering Finite Element models for linear/nonlinear analysis using ABAQUS, HYPER MESH, AUTO CAD, and CATIA software and facilitating new product design verification as per the NPD plan. Interpreting results, analyzing FEM data and correlating FEA data with the measured data and FEA Reports preparation for all NPD and other projects. Application of FEM techniques in the product design stage to predict tyre footprint, dimensions, stiffness and durability parameters under static & dynamic loadsDeveloping/improving tyre material property model (for Rubber and reinforcements) and correlating/validating the model with measured mechanical properties. Should be able to guide the Compounding team in Material Testing as per Hyperplastic and viscoelastic PRF material models and extract material coefficients for FEM analysis. Actively participate in the development of new technologies including new tyre designs, new material models, and new methods/techniques for FEAWork independently or within a team to define and deliver the FEA analysis results within the stipulated timeframe. To collectively support, develop and enhance the FEM predictive analysis procedures significant to tyre development and knowledge of the team to carry out special projects in line with R&D strategy and provide resolution for the Field failure issues through FEM analysis prepare technical papers and presentation for publication support New Product Development and OEM approvals |
