After undergoing a variety of changes paralleling the growth of the Company, the tuning fork mark and the Yamaha Logo was finally standardized.A tuning fork is a tool for tuning musical instruments.
It was invented by a trumpet player named John Shore (1662-1751). The tuning fork is composed of a handle attached to the center of a U-shaped steel rod. By striking the rod, sound is created, and the frequency of the resulting vibrations per second is used as a standard for tuning a musical instrument.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Developing system schematics as per customer specific / MSSL E&E requirements.
- Wiring Harness Design & Development Activity
- Interaction with customer for Harness development activities.
- Interaction with internal CFT & Testing and Validation team.
- Benchmarking Activities
- Value Engineering & value Analysis Activity
- Contribution to Design review, DFMEA/PFMEA, FTA etc.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Good Understanding of Power Distribution and Circuit Diagram,
- Understanding of Electrical components
- Preferred to have knowledge of Wiring Harness components
- Good Understanding of Engineering drawings.
- Better Communication Skills

Job Description :
- Collaborate with various teams to understand product requirements and parts specifications
- Identify potential suppliers and send Receipt for Quote (RFQ) to them based on part design and bill of materials received from current engineering team
- Liaise with vendors/ suppliers on a regular basis for sourcing of components and parts
- Gauge capability of suppliers by conducting design for manufacturing (DFM) discussions with suppliers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify modifications/ changes required and work towards reducing rejection rates of incoming parts
- Review order status and ensure adherence to Direct on line targets and business plan targets/vehicle
- Calculate target costing for components in collaboration with the Cost Management team and ensure that proposed suppliers meet the target band
- Evaluate performance and propose suppliers based on suitable evaluation in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team
- Provide technical guidance (mechanical and engineering feedback) to shortlisted suppliers in order to meet component reliability, supply chain efficiency and overall cost reduction
- Supervise supplier quality engineers responsible for component release; conduct component inspection audits
- Resolve quality issues and monitor corrective procedures as per guidelines specified by quality assurance
- Ensure completion of the Product Part Approval process in collaboration with Current Engineering and Quality assurance team
- Ensure a smooth handover to procurement team for sourcing material for start of production runs
