JOB DUTIES:
Technical skills are defined in 7 key skills:
Data purification & analysis; warehouse storage design & manufacturing point-of-use (POU) design; machinery & equipment design and procurement; workforce & equipment planning; logistics process design; inventory transfer & rearrangement planning; and integrating supply chain knowledge into warehouse design.
In addition, it is expected that Logistics Engineer is aware of the local WMS system and can integrate this into the overall design of the facility. A Logistics Engineer 2 is expected to be proficient in a few areas.
In addition to technical skills, a Logistics Engineer 2 must demonstrate marginal skill levels of the following values-based competencies (VBCs): integrity & trust; building inclusive relationships; customer focus; problem-solving; priority setting; and dealing with uncertainty.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Packaging, Chemistry, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Minimum Experience
• Knowledge and understanding of 6 Sigma project management principles

University degree in External Trade, Logistics or related fields and working as a supply chain/logistics/ transportation coordinator.
Experience in the area of transport/shipping – min 3 years.
Solid knowledge of how to book and monitor shipments.
Basic knowledge of logistics compliance (import and export documentation/ rules).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that delivery execution shipments are sent on time and according to the defined plan and schedule.
- Planner works closely in high collaboration with the Procurement department to ensure shipping is handled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- The key is to be proactive and have a good way of planning all upcoming shipments for several projects in parallel.
- Prepares administrative transportation documentation for shipments to global projects. Fulfils shipping, packing and marking procedures per project requirements in compliance with governmental regulations. Issuing export documents, shipping papers, and customer documents. Monitoring and updating the changes in customs legislation and applications. Monitoring and planning shipments.
- The transport and Logistics Planner is the main contact between the project and the logistical department during transport execution.
- The work includes contacts internally and with customers and freight forwarders, planning and booking of transports and production of documents for deliveries. You handle goods supply issues daily via email, telephone and Teams. This means that you are an important link and coordinator between our customers, internal functions of freight forwarders and agents.
