Job Description :
Post Code No. 01 – General Manager (Planning & Business Development) – (01 Post): –
Must be a graduate from a recognized University / Institute with an MBA degree with
specialization in Marketing / Finance.
The candidate should have minimum 20 years of post qualification experience in Business Development / Property Development in Urban Transport sector. An experience in Metro Rail projects/undertaking similar kind of large scale infrastructure development projects and managing a large portfolio of developed properties will be a desirable attribute. The responsibility of the candidate will be to manage the extensive Property Development Post
program of CMRL, so as to maximize the non-fare revenue innovatively from property
development. He will also be responsible for planning Mass Transit Infrastructure till the stage of
approval cum funding.
Job responsibilities
• He / She shall be responsible for overall planning and property development (Non fare box
revenue) related activities for CMRL.
• Monitoring and management of all Business Development (BD) related activities such as
licensing of kiosk/retail spaces, Advertisements, small and large scale developments,
Telcom related business, etc.
• Monitoring and management of Non-Fare box revenue streams including enhancement of
non-fare revenue.
• Monitoring and management of all Property Development (PD) related activities such as
small and large scale developments including land parcel development.
• Undertake assessment of Multi modal integration plans with associated
infrastructural facilities, etc.,
• Monitor transport and other relevant sectoral policies, government orders,
notifications and private sector developments to coordinate work
and Liaise with other departments within CMRL and with CUMTA, MTC and other
public agencies and government bodies at the city level.
• Preparation of feasibility/Detailed Project Reports for implementation of Mass Transit
Systems, including project approvals and funding tie ups.
• Explore innovative opportunities and provide insights on areas for future
projects, opportunities and challenges for connectivity.
• Collaborate with other departments, NGOs, Research Institutes and Government
bodies at the city level.
• Prepare technical reports, policy notes, presentations, and other documentation
materials.
Post Code No. 02 – Joint General Manager / Deputy General Manager (Design) – (02 Posts):-
Must be a B.E / B.Tech (Civil) graduate from a recognized University / Institute, approved by
AICTE / UGC. Possession of M.E / M.Tech degree (Civil / Structural Engineering) is preferable.
The candidate should have minimum post-qualification experience of 13 years for DGM and 15
years for JGM in planning and design of Viaducts, Bridges and Multi-storied Buildings. Out of 13 /
15 years of experience, minimum 08 years experience in Metro Railway projects with Design of
Viaduct, Elevated Stations, Tunnels & Under Ground Stations is essential. Hands on knowledge of
various computer applications, relating to the job and well versed with various design software’s
would be preferred.
The candidates should be familiar with the Standard Indian & Euro Codes and Practices followed in
India for Buildings, Bridges, Tunnels and UG stations.
