Designation: Technical Assistant

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Chemical

Experience: 3 to 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Railway industry experience is added advantage

Main responsibilities:

  • Make sure KPI targets are met on Daily, Weekly, Monthly and report.
  • Implement Kaizen on the shop floor.
  • React in case of a problem through QRQC.
  • Drive improvement ideas generation and implementation.
  • Managing line speed & ensuring the shift output simultaneously responsible for own productivity.

People Management:

  •  Leading by example in terms of rigor and discipline.
  • Plan the day before people allocation for the next day, plan also on a weekly basis.
  • Training of operators inline with requirements of SIOP/MPS.
  • Identifying the constraints in extracting the output & taking corrective measures.
  • Ensure discipline and rigor (work wear, break times, working hours…).
  • Ensure the adherence of safety instructions, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper induction of new operators on the line (OJT).
  • Deploy People as per skill matrix (Polyvalence).
  • Ensure proper flow of information to and from the team (Top 5 communication).

Health, Safety and Environmental working condition:

  • Responsible for immediate stopping of a line in case of safety risks.
  • Ensure full adherence of HSE rules and regulations.
  • Drive improvement of working conditions and ergonomic.

Teamwork:

  • Arrive before start of shift in order to ensure transfer of all information from the supervisor of previous shift.
  • Participate with supervisory colleagues to improvement of performance.
  • Participate in team meetings and report line performance, successes and issues as well as action initiated.

Job Description :  

Process Engineer-Rubber   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, (Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical) with a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in managing product development

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Develops and coordinates projects, plans and schedules from conception, design, development and evaluation of major new products as well as design improvement and cost reduction efforts on existing products having significant impact on the company’s operations.
  • Converting customer technical issues into sales opportunities for new part sales or work through the Service Department.
  • Working directly with GM, Director of Engineering and plant personnel to develop new products and staying involved throughout project. Includes working with the plant to optimize the production process to ensure the best quality at lowest possible cost.
  • Assists sales group in quoting new job opportunities; maintains log of quotes and provides weekly updates on quote status.
  • Selects, develops, trains and supervises staff.
  • Develops, resolves and implements policies, procedures and programs.
  • Selects correct design concepts and fundamental technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.
  • Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to settle if benefits derived and possible applications support expenditures.
  • Working with the Process Engineers and Quality Manager; reviews and monitors quality and process improvements and new product development.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Reviews operations and plans to meet requirements for sales planning and to ascertain engineering requirements to develop new markets.
  • Through knowledge of all plant function and understands the technology of processing rubber.
  • Demonstrated the ability to quickly learn a new manufacturing process or product line.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principals and techniques for efficient implementation
  • Develop relationships, manage expectations and communicate on a formal and informal basis with corporate senior executive and customers.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the company.
  • Basic computer and keyboarding skills
  • Detail and process oriented, excellent listening, oral and written communication skills
