Job Description :
- Knowledge on suspension system and shock absorber design & working principle.
- Performing subjective and objective evaluation test for Noise, Acceleration, Side Load, Temperature mapping, displacement/Velocity as per evaluation criteria and standards for shock absorber.
- Must have hands on experience in shock absorber level layout, load calculation and analysis of load to review the design verification plan.
- Handling of vehicle level shock absorber instrumentation like data logger, sensors, Noise measurement instruments (LMS Scadas &Strain gauges, accelerometers, LVDT, WFT etc)
- Data acquisition and correlation with respect to subjective observation
- This objective data must be done once design is fixed and must be aligned with development team of OEM. This data will be as Master for future reference.
- Strong knowledge on NVH, Data acquisition system, Instrumentation
- Analyzing vehicle level tested complaint shock absorber (like Noise, breakage) and warranty level complaint shock absorber and co-ordinate with internal customer and external customer to make judgement.
- Must have strong knowledge on data analysis to provide the objective data is very much needed for root cause analysis.
- Maintain standard design rules for shock/strut dimensioning, tolerances, characteristics, and valving… (on application level/ noncore component)
- Act as expert in vehicle level instrumentation
- Supports Technical Project Leaders/Application engineering team.
- Maintain skills in NVH, Instrumentation towards vehicle performance.
- Continues support to customer requirements in objective data measurement.
- Flexibility on travel (within India) must require.
- Co-ordinate customer specification change request
- Get knowledge from Global testing team on data acquisition and provide demonstration to OEM and prove our objective measurement with respect to product design requirement.
- Involve and play role in Problem Solving and failure mode analysis.
