Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the management, training, scheduling and development of maintenance personnel providing support to the Production/Processing areas at the West Jefferson, OH facility. This newly constructed facility will produce protein drinks. Now hiring for 2 PM shifts.
Assumes personal responsibility to insure safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and, incorporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
Supervision of maintenance crew.
Production support in the Production / Processing areas.
Creates work orders and PMs.
Responsible for installing new equipment.
Troubleshoots problems with equipment.
Provides a safe work environment for employees.
Recognizes and takes steps to resolve operating problems in order to minimize their impact on the operations.
Cooperates with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times.
Keeps accurate and up-to-date records (I.E. timecards, downtime records, absentee records, etc.)
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (AA) or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics or a related field
- Two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge and experience supporting Aseptic filling operations. Tetra Pak experience a plus.
Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations and government safety regulations.
Able to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner.
Be able to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
