Job Title: Production Engineer
The Production Engineer’s main job is to figure out how to make parts or products as efficiently as possible.
Production Engineers need to be good at math and engineering. That means knowing about things like statistics, design, computers, and production systems. You never stop learning because you have to keep up with changes and improvements in technology that affect your field. Because you’ll be talking to a lot of people at work, you’ll also need good people skills.
Do you fit the bill?
Mechanical engineering or a similar field.
At least 2 to 3 years of experience with machines that punch, bend, and use lasers.
Working in the Manufacturing industry
Good at getting along with others and talking to them.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to multitask.
Know the rules about health and safety.
What are you going to do?
Basic Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate the processes of Production Engineering every day to make high-quality products.
Develop better ways to use equipment and materials to get the most out of production.
Develop operational strategies to meet production and financial goals, such as packaging and consumables.
Find operations and practises that are unsafe and tell the Manager right away.
Set up rules about safety and the environment for your employees.
Help production and maintenance activities go as smoothly as possible by giving engineering support.
Do engineering analysis to cut down on outages and downtime.
Look at how production is done now and suggest ways to make it better.
Implement plans to cut costs while keeping high standards of quality.
Create instructions for how to use the equipment and specifications for how it should work.
Helps team members reach production goals by giving them training and direction.
