Job Description :
- Interacts with Lead engineer and with the customer to understand the design requirements
- Prepares Preliminary Bill of Material (PBoM) for new products to be reviewed by lead engineer for costing
- Prepares CAD models and customer acceptance drawing in customer requested format
- Prepares kit part list for release in co-ordination with after sales department
- Prepares project file and related documents as per QHSE / TS 16949 requirements for future reference / use
- Prepares and updates Things Gone Wrong (TGW) and Things Gone Right (TGR) list for future reference / use
- Carries out activities like preparing DD plan, layout and installation checks(using CAD), tolerance layout, etc for design release and review by lead engineer
- Takes action on Engineering Action Request Notes (EARNs), Concessions, Alterations, Design deviations and short orders for prototypes for development, testing and customer samples
- Conducts design review for new product or design change
- Prepares BI technical specification changes / formulation for release
- Interacts with vendors / units for parts development and evaluates sample inspection report for approval
- Assists LE in investigating field failure and customer complaints using QC tools and DOE
- Coordinates with the customer and marketing for vehicle mating parts for testing; coordinates with testing team for completion of testing & report submission to customer ; coordinates with inhouse testing team during failure analysis
- Generating VA/VE ideas and coordinating with manufacturing/supplier for implementation
- Transfers relevant data to select customer s using the data transfer server
- Prepares Gate pass / invoice /purchase requisition for material handling
- Raise Lab Investigation Request and arrange samples for investigation
- Raise Job Request Note for testing / FEA and provide necessary inputs / samples / CAD models
