Completing CEO Elon Musk’s “Secret Master Plan,” in 2016, Tesla introduced Model 3, a low-priced, high-volume electric vehicle that began production in 2017. Soon after, Tesla unveiled the safest, most comfortable truck ever – Tesla Semi – which is designed to save owners at least $200,000 over a million miles based on fuel costs alone. In 2019, Tesla unveiled Model Y, a mid-size SUV, with seating for up to seven, and Cybertruck, which will have better utility than a traditional truck and more performance than a sports car.

- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Two years of experience in Product development / design engineering. demonstrating technical aptitude from concept through release and launch for production or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
- First principles, physics-based thinker, and problem solver able to handle problems of varied scope and complexity. Demonstrate technical aptitude, excellent communication, and creativity
- Understanding of latest design technologies used in Product Engineering, clear ability to push boundaries and innovate.
- Experience with complex assemblies, engineering principles in design, prototyping and production.
- Experience with MATLAB, Python and Ansys for analysis, modeling, and simulations.
- Must have the ability to gain technical expertise with the latest manufacturing technologies and feasibility execution to achieve systems requirements and world-class craftsmanship and performance targets
- Proficiency in 3D modeling within a product development environment
- Strong working knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, including familiarity with GD&T and dimensional engineering
- Experience with technical documentation in at least 1 full lifecycle vehicle programs to include DVP&R and DFMEA

Job Description :
- Engineer, develop and execute world-class interior systems that exceed styling and functional targets and are compliant to regulatory requirements
- Developing new novel designs that will enable new technology adopting that aligns with the design them
- Work through the entire product cycle with critical input early in development by collaborating with Tesla’s design/styling and engineering teams.
- Participate in the iterative process with all stakeholders to deliver the optimal balance of form, function, performance, and cost.
- Implement processes and material selections to achieve world class execution of automotive interior craftsmanship and fit & finish
- Complete and release interior components, sub-system, and detail designs, utilizing a mix of in-house design and supplier engineering where required (in-house designs are planned for most major commodities)
- Utilize DFSS methodologies as appropriate during the design, validation and launch of the program
- Interpret CAE simulation results and integrate recommendations into product design
- Collaborate with key interior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the Tesla Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement groups to ensure interior system manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability
- Responsible for technical documentation to include DFMEAs, DVP&R’s
