Designation: ASSICIATE ENGINEER – MECHANICAL
Educational Qualifications: B.E.MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Education level required: B.E./BTech / M-Tech / ME in Mechanical Engineering
Years and area of experience required:
- 0-2 Yrs of experience design and development experience related to Low voltage products. Fuses, Fusible switches, Panelboards.
- Understanding change management system – ECN, ECR, ECO execution.
- Experience working in Sustaining engineering, Design development projects.
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology know how.
- Understanding of Manufacturing processes & operations.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAE software Solidworks, AutoCAD with tolerance stack up, GD&T. PLM- Enovia working knowledge.
- Good analytical skills in mechanical disciplines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to clearly communicate to internal/external customers and suppliers.
Technical knowledge:
- Low voltage products undertanding.
- Work with global stakeholders for project execution through idea generation, design, testing and implementation phase.
- Demonstrate capability in working on NPI/Sustaining/VAVE projects
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology with examples of practical application.
- Manufacturing knowledge for Sheetmetal, plastics, stamping, molding, machining, casting, & assembly processes and tooling. Good knowledge on materials – ferrous & non-ferrous metals, plastics
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAE software like Solidworks, AutoCAD with tolerance stack up, GD&T. PLM- Enovia working knowledge.
- Good analytical skills in mechanical disciplines.

The primary responsibility of Associate Engineer role is to contribute in Sustaining Engineering, NPI, VAVE projects.
About CPD:
CPD has business worth 1bn USD+ and is focused on offering customers the right set of smart, connected components to form a complete solution to meet their application needs. This division now includes approximately 8,000 in 20 facilities in four countries, working in three integrated businesses: Power Components, Industrial Control and Bussmann
Job Responsibilities
- Design and development experience related to products like Low Voltage (LV) Fuses, Fusible switches, Panelboards.
- Work with global stakeholders for project execution through idea generation, design, testing and implementation phase.
- Demonstrate capability in working on NPI/Sustaining/VAVE projects
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology with examples of practical application.
- Manufacturing knowledge for Sheetmetal, plastics, stamping, molding, machining, casting, & assembly processes and tooling. Good knowledge on materials – ferrous & non-ferrous metals, plastics
- Perform teardown , generate ideas , perform system / component sizing, modeling, and simulation to meet product design and compliance requirements
- Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations
- Modify existing products to support customer, manufacturing, applicable regulatory and industry standard, and market requirement.
- Working knowledge of CAD/CAE software like Solidworks, AutoCAD with tolerance stack up, GD&T. PLM- Enovia working knowledge.
- Complete design ( 2D drawings / 3D Models) in UGNX or Solid works.
- Good analytical skills in mechanical disciplines.
