1. Job Title
- Job Post: Team Member – Passenger Car Manufacturing Engineering – All Shop (Body, Paint, Assembly, Engine, Power Train Transmission)
- Department: Passenger Car Production – Engineering Departments (Department that deals with the development of mass production lines like Body, Paint, Assembly, Engine, Power Train Transmission – To manage & increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, bring in new technology etc).

- Experience Required : 1 to 7 Years as per below mentioned job description.
- Education : B.E or B.Tech Full Time in Automobile or Mechanical or Production or Electrical or Mechatronics or Chemical
- Work Timing : General Shift – 7.45am to 5.20pm (excluding travel) and also should work in holidays at need basis, Since predominantly the job nature of this position (project period) falls on all factory holidays when the Production not happened. Suitable compensatory holiday shall be provided in weekdays on rotation basis.
2. Roles and Responsibilities for Hyundai company Chennai Sriperumbudur job vacancy:
- Should have knowledge in end to end process of any one of shop (Body, Paint, Assembly, Engine, Power Train Transmission)
- Should have knowledge in operations of shop equipment’s, PLCs &Software systems (Mitsubishi, Siemens, Allen Bradely etc)
- Analyzing existing production line condition to enable the production of new car model (multiple model production in common line)
- Detail studying / review of production line in actuals.
- Project design discussion with Shop floor End user teams (Production, Maintenance, QC)
- Preparing project specification and scope of work considering industrial standards (compiling all process platforms of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical etc)
- Project resource planning & effective utilization
- Planning project equipment’s / materials purchasing along with Procurement team. Follow activities from vendor selection to installation/commissioning.
- Coordinate with Project support teams like Finance, Procurement, Business Planning, Safety, Customs at each stage to compile the norms and regulations
- Project fiscal management and related clearance (buying & billing)
- Project equipment / material preparation site check at vendor end including overseas visit and correction if required.
- Project execution in line – Equipment installation, Commissioning, Trial run and Counter measure for interference.
- Post project production line stabilization for error free mass production and matching cycle time.
- Final handover of completed project to End user teams (like Production, Maintenance, QC)
- Operating efficiency analysis of Production line
- Plant aging facility improvement plan preparation & execution if required.
- Drive smart Factory initiatives
3.Skill sets for Hyundai company Chennai Sriperumbudur job vacancy:
- Project sequence scheduling, Actual site management and man power management.
- Maintaining cordial relationship with internal teams and vendors for project completion.
- Coordinating and managing the tasks with vendor to complete the project on time.
- Onsite project management and project execution from erection to trial/commissioning.
- New projects training arrangement with vendor for End user teams (Production, Maintenance, QC ).
- Analytical, Reporting (Microsoft office), Interpersonal Skills
4.Functional Knowledge
- Automobile – Process flow & Equipment operations (Anyone minimum – Body, Paint, Assembly, Engine, Power Train Transmission)
- MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel) – Mandatory
- CATIA (added advantage)

5. Desired Candidate Profile:
- Should be preferably from Manufacturing Companies with Onsite Project Management in Production field of 1~7 Years experience in Executive Category.
- Required Full Time B.E/B.Tech related graduates, not part time. Diploma candidates are not qualified for the post (Please refrain from this job post)
- If candidates does not have aforesaid field of job exposure, Please do not apply for this job. Since we are looking for Subject Matter Expertise in above mentioned field.
- Travel Passport required for overseas business trips sometimes
- Should have communication skill (especially in English).
